QUALSURV MARINE CONSULTING – Commercial Diving
Commercial Diving is divided into two sectors; inshore and offshore.
Inshore commercial diving in the UK is governed by the Diving at Work Regulations 1997, and closely monitored by the Health and Safety Executive, with all Diving at Work activities required to be notified to the HSE. It is also a legal requirement under Regulation 4 that anyone involved in a Diving at Work activity has a duty to ensure that the activity is fully compliant with the Regulations. For that reason it is recommended that the Employer / Client / Principal Contractor requiring the diving works should appoint a Diver Representative that is fully conversant with the Diving at Work Regulations 1997, and who is capable of competently auditing the Diving Contractor’s equipment, methods of work and Risk Assessments.
QUALSURV MARINE CONSULTING has experienced Commercial Diving Consultants with up to 40 years’ experience in the inshore and offshore diving sector that can act as a Diver Representative and/or Inspection Diver.
International Offshore Diving is usually subject to either International Code of Safety for Diving Operations, published by the International Maritime Organisation, or the IMCA International Code of Practice for Offshore Diving, published by the International Marine Contractors Association. As with inshore diving, QUALSURV MARINE CONSULTING can provide highly experienced Commercial Diving Consultants to developers and principal contractors to help ensure that the diving subcontractor is performing the works in full compliance with thes International Codes of Safety.
QUALSURV MARINE CONSULTING can also provide fully qualified and experienced inspection divers to check and report on the diving works performed by the diving contractor.
