Asbestos Analytical Services - UKAS Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 – Accredited to undertake Air Monitoring and 4 Stage Clearance

QUALSURV’s Asbestos Division is a completely independent Asbestos Consultancy ensuring professional integrity and impartiality as required by the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. All air test certificates should be kept in your site Health & Safety file or with other asbestos related documentation on site.

Following most asbestos removal works, or to ascertain the level of risk where asbestos is concerned, QUALSURV offers a comprehensive air monitoring service, including certificate of reoccupation, which must, by law, be carried out by a UKAS accredited laboratory.

Air monitoring is undertaken by our fully qualified and highly trained Analytical Consultants.

Background Monitoring
This is used to check that airborne fibre levels are below the recommended limit of quantification prior to works commence, typically during minor remedial works.

Leak (enclosure check) Monitoring
While asbestos removal works are in progress, air samples are measured outside the working enclosure to assess the enclosure integrity and effectiveness of control measures.

Personal compliance Monitoring
This air test is used to monitor exposure and to confirm that the RPE in use is capable of providing the appropriate degree of protection. It is also used to check the effectiveness of control measures in place during work with asbestos.

Clearance air monitoring
Carried out as stage 3: (Air monitoring) of the certificate of reoccupation process, upon satisfactory completion of stage 1: (Preliminary check of site condition and job completeness) & Stage 2: (A thorough visual inspection inside the enclosure/work area), and prior to stage 4

Reassurance Monitoring
This test may be conducted in certain circumstances – for example when an enclosure has been removed on completion of asbestos remedial works.

Asbestos Material Sampling and Testing
We undertake the removal of composite samples and arrange testing at an independent UKAS accredited laboratory. This enables impartial testing and an appropriate plan of action to be developed to ensure effective management or removal and transportation of hazardous waste.
